With Xaymaca Special Dry, Plantation resurrects the classic Jamaican style of 19th century rum, using 100% pot still distillation to create a bold and flavorful experience. This expression showcases the signature "rum funk" with hints of black banana and flambéed pineapple, achieved through a blend of rums from the old John Dore pot still at Long Pond and the Vendôme at Clarendon. The result is a slightly smoky and meaty aroma with fruity, herbal, and sour notes, followed by a palate filled with rose water, soursop, pear, white grape, apricot, and sugar-apple.

Update to review - After posting my initial review of one star the Managing Director of the company phoned me and apologised saying my experience was not to the standard the company normally offers. He said as a show of good faith he had re sent the goods as well as providing the requested refund. I have now received the items I originally ordered. The refund may take a few days. I can only assume that this has indeed been a one off issue as most other reviews here seem happy, I therefore will say though my order did not go to plan and arrived well after Christmas - 24 January 2025. The seller has indeed shown themselves to be trustworthy and has gone above and beyond to rectify my issue.

I put in an order 15th December 2024, I paid 'booze express postage' of nearly $20. I was provided a tracking number. The product never arrived. Upon checking with Aust Post the item was never received into their network. I raised this issue with booze house and after they investigated, confirmed the parcel could not be found at Aust Post. I was then promised a refund of my $48.50. This was more than 3 weeks ago now.
