Established in Venezuela in 1938, Pampero Rum was the brainchild of Luis Manuel Toro and Alejandro Hernandez who had backgrounds in the alcohol and sugar cane trade. They began producing rum and fruit wines in a small colonial-age house in Caracas, Quinta Crespo. Pampero Especial is a 40% ABV Venezuelan rum that is aged in barrels that previously matured bourbon across 5 different batches. Especial is housed in these oak casks for 18 months which creates aromas of honey, vanilla, oak and rich fruit that then flows across the palate with smooth and intensely sweet, herbaceous flavour and a subtle, crisp finish.
