Complex Knob Creek, a Kentucky belle! Named after Abraham Lincoln's boyhood home, it's arguably finest bourbon, often outshining Beam’s intended flagship, Bookers. It embodies the pre-prohibition look, feel, and taste of whisky. Bottled at 50% alc./vol. like old bourbons, aged for nine years, it's among the oldest Small Batch Bourbons. Extra maturation allows for a richer taste and nose. Tasting note: Deeply coloured with a vanilla and caramel bouquet, pepper and apply-rye adding balance. Muscular with no pretensions, rich corn and oils compete with vanilla and caramel, balancing minty freshness and white pepper. High pitch vanilla and oak in the aftertaste. Gutsy, a text book for this category. Hard to find better value. 50% Alc./Vol.
