The order was processed promptly, well packed, and Cardhu is always pleasant. The delivery let it down. I saw the van stop, from my front room. I can always hear couriers open my front gate, but since I didn't, assumed it wasn't for me. Nobody knocked - and the door was only three metres away, and my ears work. A few minutes later an SMS advised me the courier was sorry he missed me, and I could arrange another delivery.
I immediately replied I was home, and nobody had tried the gate or knocked. I added there were no dogs in the yard. I would be available that afternoon and next day - so the courier replied he'd be back four days later. He would leave the delivery, but I would forfeit any claim if it was stolen.
I saw the van arrive and went out to see the driver, rather than opening the gate, had lowered the carton (marked "Fragile")
over the top, and was working it down by reaching through the gate rails.
Perhaps a courier service with drivers who can operate basic gate latches would provide a smoother service.

I was given this sparkling wine, and as a birthday treat I shared it with some friends. We all loved it and as we could not get it in Victoria, I ordered it from you. Very happy with the service, I could have liked it delivered last week, as I wanted to give some as a birthday present for a friend. She will have to wait for Christmas now.

Update to review - After posting my initial review of one star the Managing Director of the company phoned me and apologised saying my experience was not to the standard the company normally offers. He said as a show of good faith he had re sent the goods as well as providing the requested refund. I have now received the items I originally ordered. The refund may take a few days. I can only assume that this has indeed been a one off issue as most other reviews here seem happy, I therefore will say though my order did not go to plan and arrived well after Christmas - 24 January 2025. The seller has indeed shown themselves to be trustworthy and has gone above and beyond to rectify my issue.

I put in an order 15th December 2024, I paid 'booze express postage' of nearly $20. I was provided a tracking number. The product never arrived. Upon checking with Aust Post the item was never received into their network. I raised this issue with booze house and after they investigated, confirmed the parcel could not be found at Aust Post. I was then promised a refund of my $48.50. This was more than 3 weeks ago now.
