Hartshorn Sheep Whey Gin 500mL
Aside from Juniper, it was Hartshorn Distilleries' aim to create this gin using only botanicals native to Tasmania. In the process some very impressive leaves, native berries, and seeds were found however being that they were wild-harvested, there would not be enough for ongoing production. Some of the botanicals used are Tasmanian native and the list was broadened to include Australian native botanicals (plus the Juniper). 3 of these botanicals have not been used in their gins before.
All of the botanicals are vapor-infused. A technique not used too often with Australian Gins. Vapour infusion, as opposed to steeped, will give the gin a more delicate and subtle nose. There will be delicate petal and citrus aromas with a hint of freshly cut hay.
