This 2015 release of Benromach 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky boasts a brilliant flavor profile, thanks to its maturation in a carefully selected blend of bourbon and sherry casks. Similar to other whiskies produced at Benromach since 1993, this 15 year old expression is aged in first fill barrels for maximum quality. The unique neck of the bottle is modeled after the distillery's stills, adding to its expertly crafted presentation. This particular release has been matured for 9 years in 80% ex-bourbon casks and 20% ex-sherry casks, before being married in an Oloroso Sherry cask for an additional 6 years. On the nose, you'll find beautifully balanced sherry aromas with hints of vanilla, zesty orange, and spicy ginger, as well as delicate notes of chamomile and menthol.
