Ardbeg An Oa boasts a single-mindedly smooth balance thanks to its development in a newly-crafted Gathering Vat. This maturation process includes the intermixing of distinct whiskies from Pedro Ximenez, virgin charred oak, and ex-bourbon casks, among others. The consequence of these elements is a powerful smokiness tempered by a delightful, sugary sweetness. Characteristic Ardbeg peat, dark chocolate, and aniseed notes combine with velvety butterscotch, black pepper, and clove for a flavor that intensifies as it progresses.
