Bundaberg Rum was established in 1888 and was created as a solution for local sugar mills to utilize the waste molasses produced once sugar had been drawn from the sugarcane. It was super heavy, so transport costs were prohibitive and considered too costly to convert into feed for livestock. First produced in 1889, Bundaberg Rum was the solution, an additional revenue stream, and an absolute game-changer! Bundaberg Rum Select Vat is a 37% ABV hand-selected rum that’s aged in American oak barrels that drives dark tones and subtle dried fruit characteristics which flow into a velvet-smooth caramel mouthfeel with light touches of butterscotch and sweet toffee.
