Bottled a natural strength (56% ABV) Cardhu 11 Year Old is a new addition to Diego's Special Rare By Nature line for 2020. Not exactly a household name outside of the industry Cardhu never the less has a long history dating back to before distilleries were legal. Aged in new and ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads along with refill casks it has a creamy texture with a flavour profile replete with juicy fruits, buttery toffee, chilli spice, and fresh bread notes. Best served neat but a drop water does help release Cardhu 11 Year Old's sweet buttery side and reduce the fire.
